Bartlett Consulting is the consultancy arm of The F.A. Bartlett Tree Expert Company Ltd (Bartlett Tree Experts) operating throughout The United Kingdom, Ireland, America and Canada. The organisation is also supported by the Bartlett Tree Research Laboratory based in Reading, England and Charlotte, North Carolina.

Responsibilities

Because of expanding client networks and areas of operation throughout the UK and Ireland, as well as wide ranging services required both internally and externally, we are looking to recruit a full-time arboricultural consultant to join our team in the East Midlands (Draycott, Derbyshire) area of operation. The successful candidate will be based at the Draycott, Derbyshire office (hybrid working is possible), function as a member of the consultancy team whilst managing their own clients, projects and area of operation as well as provide internal consultant advice and services.

You will provide or work towards providing the full range of services including trees and development, trees and subsidence, tree surveying and inventories and tree risk assessment. 

Qualifications

Please contact us if you have: 

  • previous experience delivering a consultancy service within a commercial environment
  • the ability to produce technical reports to a high standard and degree of professionalism
  • experience working with planners, architects, engineers and contractors
  • the ability to work within a team of professionals providing holistic tree and landscape advice
  • the ability to work closely and communicate with other professionals internally and externally
  • commercial awareness and a business acumen to generate new business, develop existing clients and networks, and manage commercial clients and projects from start to finish
  • the ability to meet and exceed financial targets.
  • thorough working knowledge of the planning system, associated legislation and policy
  • sound knowledge of tree and fungal identification
  • the ability to use tomography and / or resistance micro-drill for advanced tree assessments
  • a working knowledge of ancient and veteran trees
  • robust understanding of health and safety legislation and guidance for trees and tree management
  • a relevant degree or masters qualification - ecological / environmental 
  • supplementary professional membership(s) and vocational training certification
  • excellent IT skills and attention to detail (essential)
  • experience with AutoCAD (desirable)
